Children’s Dentistry

At Dalkeith Dental we are dedicated to providing excellent dental care for children from birth to the end of adolescence. Through regular visits we are able to provide education on how a family can best look after their children’s teeth and early diagnosis of any problems means that treatment intervention is as minimal as possible.

We can also monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws and advise on the best time to see orthodontic specialists if needed. We feel strongly that preventative dentistry such as regular hygiene appointments, fissure sealants and fluoride treatments are the best way of ensuring your child’s oral health.

Children’s Dentistry

Children’s dentistry is very important to us and the majority of us have children of our own so are very used to dealing with child patients of all ages.

Our surroundings are comfortable and relaxing and our staff make a huge effort to ensure your child feels happy here.

We treat every patient as special but our child patients receive that little extra from all our staff.

First visit certificates, show bags and children’s activities help ensure that coming to the dentist is a perfectly fun and routine part of your child’s development.

With this in mind, the majority of our children patients are seen in our more relaxed dental hygiene suite, where our Hygienist will spend some valuable time getting to know your child and building that important relationship.

Once they are comfortable and relaxed one of our dentists will take over and carry out the examination.
